“I can't recommend RYC classes with Maria enough! I just turned 40 and have struggled with lower back pain since I was a teenager. RYC is really helping me to learn how to move my body safely and activate my core strength to support my movements. My back is feeling more relaxed and my core feels like it might finally have some strength again after having had two babies in the last 8 years.

Maria does a fantastic job of explaining the moves precisely and offering corrections or adjustments to make the exercises safe and effective. Sometimes she gives just the slightest adjustment and it changes the whole feeling of the move in my body. She works thoughtfully and patiently to help you understand how to do the program so that you get the most benefit from it. Doing lessons (online for now) with her enabled me to ask all of my questions and really understand what I needed to focus on when something didn't make sense to me.

The program isn't difficult, but if you want the best results, you want to be careful about listening to the cues and moving with intention. Maria is so great at guiding you through this.

Classes with Maria are enjoyable and informative, giving me the confidence to practice on my own and continue to improve my practice. She is very supportive and non-judgmental in her teaching and really makes you feel like she can help you no matter what level you are starting from.

“As a veteran of over a dozen wellness programs through the years, I can say that I'm so lucky to have found Maria! Maria brings you the benefits of individualized attention even when teaching through a "group class" model. Most wellness participants do not realize that being able to perform small changes in position, weight, balance and breathing are what separate a "good" program from a "great" program. Maria notices, for example, where you may be arched a tad wrong, balancing or putting pressure on the wrong body part, or not breathing correctly. She uses key directive phrases such as "If you are feeling it <<here>>, we don't want that, try this instead. I want you to feel it <<here>>." It's these small changes that, once corrected, give you that "A-ha" feeling that really changes the outcome of the sessions.
